Sugar of all things right i know that people have such a hard time breaking
their habit with sugar but yet here's another reason of why they want to

Okay. What happens is these excess sugar molecules actually attack it and it becomes like a (Ron demonstrates with the modeling clay how the collagen protein becomes damaged by glycation) parasite, or like a thorn in your side and that causes your collagen proteins to become malshapen and misformed... and you see that's (Ron holds up final result of the misshapen collagen demonstration) what happens on the surface of your skin.

This would be the surface of our skin if we have too much sugar all of a sudden what was normally round and smooth is now twisted? Yes, what's happened is it's actually destroying the function of your proteins, and it's most evident in our eyes.

Now, everybody likes to talk about the sun and how it destroys your skin.
